In 1933 Thea von Harbou, author of Metropolis and then wife of Fritz Lang, visited the Netherlands. She was invited by DLS Film Holland - the Dutch department of the Deutsches Lichtspiel-Syndikat - and the Apollo Theater in The Hague to introduce her new movie Aus dem Tagebuch einer Frauenärztin. She arrived by train in The Hague on February 16th 1933 and spoke to the press. The same evening her words could be heard in the Dutch cinema newsreels. A few months later Aus dem Tagebuch einer Frauenärztin would be banned in Germany.
Von Harbou speaks about 40 seconds into the video below. Thanks to Aitam Bar-Sagi of the Film Music Museum for restoring the footage to the orignal 24 FPS and cleaning up the audiotrack.
