A year after the exciting discovery of almost all of the lost scenes in Buenos Aires, the (final) restoration of Metropolis has started. July 6th the material arrived at the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau-Stiftung in Wiesbaden. The budget for the restoration is 500.000 euros and if everything goes well the result will be shown at the 60th Berlin film festival "Berlinale" February 2010.
